The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) and the visiting Hargrave Falcons (Huffman, TX), observed Hardin-Jefferson's basketball team knock off Hargrave by a score of 63-46.

The Hawks (11-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Livingston (Livingston, TX). The Lions come into the 4A Region III District 19 challenge with a 7-12 record. In their last challenge, Livingston was knocked off by Hargrave (Huffman, TX), 57-33, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons encounter the Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX) in a 4A Region III District 19 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Hargrave will attempt to improve on its 8-16 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 42-22 league loss to Liberty (Liberty, TX).
