The North Jackson Chiefs (Stevenson, AL) basketball were winner over the visiting Section Lions (Section, AL), 62-44 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Chiefs now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to New Hope for a 4A Area 16 bout on Tuesday, January 7. North Jackson will play a Indians team coming off a 72-21 league loss to Plainview (Rainsville, AL). The Indians record now stands at 4-11.
With the loss, Section falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Lions host Pisgah (Pisgah, AL) to play the Eagles in a 2A Area 16 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-3.
