The Western Guilford Hornets basketball team scored 43 points and limited the host North Davidson Black Knights to 42 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now have a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Grimsley for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, North Davidson falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Black knights travel to Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to confront the Timberwolves in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Timberwolves go into the game with a record of 0-8. Montgomery Central lost 71-48 in their recent non-league game against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC)
