North Warren Central Cougars (Chestertown, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Corinth Riverhawks (Corinth, NY), 70-65 in a league bout.

With the win, North Warren Central upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Cougars host Argyle (Argyle, NY) to play the Scots in a Section 2 Adirondack bout on Friday, February 2. The Scots go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Argyle lost 67-53 in their recent league bout against Whitehall (Whitehall, NY)

Next up, the Riverhawks play the Doane Stuart Thunder Chicken (Albany, NY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Corinth will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Thunder Chicken go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 78-64 league loss to Hawthorne Valley (Ghent, NY).
