Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Huntsville Hornets (Huntsville, TX), 72-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nacogdoches upgrades its record to 19-10 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Porter (Porter, TX) to play the Spartans in a 5A Region II District 16 bout on Friday, February 2. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 15-14. Porter lost 40-33 in their recent league bout against Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Dayton Broncos (Dayton, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 bout, on Friday, February 2. Huntsville will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 15-13 record after their 85-37 league loss to Lufkin (Lufkin, TX).
