The Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars basketball team (Louisville, GA), was nudged 53-50 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA)
The Spartans now possess a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Augusta Prep Day for a GIAA AA Region 4 battle on Friday, February 2. Edmund Burke Academy will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 45-28 non-league loss to Westminster Schools of Augusta (Augusta, GA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-13.
The Jaguars (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Twiggs Academy (Jeffersonville, GA). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Twiggs Academy was nudged by Covenant Academy (Macon, GA), 58-52, in a non-league battle.
