Wilton Warriors (Wilton, CT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), 40-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Wilton upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT) to play the Tigers in a Fairfield County bout on Saturday, February 3. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 11-3.

Next up, the Wreckers play the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers (Bridgeport, CT) in a Fairfield County bout, on Thursday, February 1. Staples will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 48-44 league loss to Darien (Darien, CT).
