Georgia High School Basketball - Effingham County trounced by Evans

January 30, 2025: Springfield, GA 31329

The Effingham County Rebels basketball squad (Springfield, GA), was crushed 58-35 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Evans Knights (Evans, GA)

With the victory, Evans advances its record to 20-2 on the year. The Knights travel to Lakeside (Evans, GA) to meet the Panthers in a AAAAA Region 1 battle on Friday, January 31. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 9-8. Lakeside won 42-35 in their recent league battle against Effingham County (Springfield, GA)

The Rebels now own a 1-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenbrier for a AAAAA Region 1 battle on Friday, January 31. Effingham County will meet a Wolfpack squad coming off a 43-34 league loss to Evans (Evans, GA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 7-14.
