Illinois High School Basketball - Rockridge toppled by Mercer County

Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL), 49-36 in a league match.

With the victory, Mercer County upgrades its record to 13-14 on the year. The Golden Eagles travel to Orion (Orion, IL) to face the Chargers in a Three Rivers - West match on Monday, February 3. The Chargers enter the match with a record of 9-17. Orion lost 69-35 in their recent non-league match against Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL)

The Rockets now sport a 10-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Farmington for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 5.
