In Tuesday's league outing, the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA), by a margin of 83-58.
The Purple Hurricanes (19-3) will now prepare for their outing against Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA). The Lions go into the AAA Region 8 outing with a 9-13 record. In their last outing, Hebron Christian Academy smashed Hart County (Hartwell, GA), 55-48, in a league outing.
The Lions now own a 5-17 record. They play next when they host Oconee County for a AAA Region 8 outing on Friday, February 3. Franklin County will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 68-51 league win over Stephens County (Toccoa, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 14-8.
