Father Ryan Fightin' Irish (Nashville, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN), 38-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Father Ryan upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Fightin' Irish travel to Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN) to play the Eagles in a Division II-AA Middle bout on Friday, February 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 11-10.

Next up, the Knights play the Ensworth Tigers (Nashville, TN) in a Division II-AA Middle bout, on Friday, February 3. Pope John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record.
