Arizona High School Basketball - Gila Ridge overwhelms San Luis

January 31, 2023: San Luis, AZ 85349

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ) and the host San Luis Sidewinders (San Luis, AZ), saw Gila Ridge's basketball squad wallop San Luis by a tally of 59-22.

With the victory, Gila Ridge improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Hawks host Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 13-10. Desert Ridge lost 81-23 in their recent league challenge against Desert Vista (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Sidewinders confront the Cibola Raiders (Yuma, AZ) in a 6A Desert Southwest challenge, on Thursday, February 2. San Luis will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 16-8 record after their 50-40 non-league loss to Mountain View (Mesa, AZ).
