The Malad Dragons (Malad, ID) basketball edged the visiting Bear Lake Bears (Montpelier, ID), 45-39 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Dragons now possess a 12-1 record. They play next when they host Declo for a 3A South East Idaho bout on Wednesday, January 8. Malad will play a Hornets team coming off a 68-43 non-league loss to Ririe (Ririe, ID). The Hornets record now stands at 4-9.
With the loss, Bear Lake falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Firth (Firth, ID) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 10. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-4.
