The Belmond-Klemme Broncos basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Garner-Hayfield Cardinals to 40 in the Broncos non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Broncos now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Osage for a North Iowa contest on Saturday, January 7. Belmond-Klemme will battle a Green Devils team coming off a 60-22 non-league win over Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA). The Green Devils record now stands at 10-1.

The Cardinals (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Algona (Algona, IA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Algona nudged St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA), 60-21, in a league contest.
