Fans at Friday's league challenge between the William Penn Charter Quakers (Philadelphia, PA) and the visiting Haverford School Fords (Haverford, PA), saw William Penn Charter's basketball squad knock off Haverford School by a count of 65-50.

With the victory, William Penn Charter upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Quakers travel to George School (Newtown, PA) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Fords play the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Blue Devils (Philadelphia, PA) in a Inter-Academic challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Haverford School will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record.
