North Branch Vikings (North Branch, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats (Lindstrom, MN), 76-43 in a league bout.

With the win, North Branch upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Vikings travel to Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN) to play the Bluejackets in a AAAA Section 7 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bluejackets go into the bout with a record of 4-9. Cambridge-Isanti lost 58-47 in their recent non-league bout against Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Princeton Tigers (Princeton, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Chisago Lakes Area will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 66-32 non-league loss to Byron (Byron, MN).
