The Ranney basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Holmdel Hornets to 49 in the non-league triumph on Friday.

The now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wall Township for a Shore B - Coastal contest on Monday, January 8. Ranney will meet a Crimson Knights team coming off a 54-38 non-league loss to Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ). The Crimson Knights record now stands at 7-2.

The Hornets (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 7-1 record.
