The River Valley Panthers topped the visiting Marion Center Stingers basketball team by a final score of 45-27 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Elizabeth Forward Warriors (Elizabeth, PA) in a non-league game, on Monday, January 8. River Valley will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 7-2 record after their 55-41 league win over Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA).

With the defeat, Marion Center moves to 10-3 on the year. The Stingers travel to Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA) to face the Colts in a Heritage game on Tuesday, January 9. The Colts enter the game with a record of 1-5. Northern Cambria won 52-38 in their recent non-league game against Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA)
