Pelahatchie Chiefs (Pelahatchie, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints (Ridgeland, MS), 57-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Pelahatchie upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Chiefs host Puckett (Puckett, MS) to play the Wolves in a 2A Region 6 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Puckett lost 47-37 in their recent league bout against Pisgah (Sandhill, MS)

Next up, the Saints play the Puckett Wolves (Puckett, MS) in a 2A Region 6 bout, on Friday, January 12. St. Andrew's Episcopal will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record.
