The Destrehan Wildcats basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Bourgeois Braves to 47 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Lafourche for a 5A District 7 contest on Tuesday, January 10.

The Braves (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against East St. John (Reserve, LA). The Wildcats enter the 5A District 7 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, East St. John was nudged by Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA), 71-39, in a non-league contest.
