Colorado High School Basketball - De Beque knocked off by Nucla

The Nucla Mustangs basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting De Beque Dragons to 30 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dove Creek for a 2A/1A San Juan Basin contest on Friday, January 13. Nucla will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 43-25 non-league win over Nucla (Nucla, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-2.

The Dragons (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Vail Christian (Edwards, CO). The Saints enter the 2A/1A Western Slope contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Vail Christian was outscored by Caprock Academy (Grand Junction, CO), 43-32, in a non-league contest.
