In Friday's non-league outing, the Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA), by a margin of 53-27.
The Broncos (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Southampton (Courtland, VA). The Indians go into the Tri-Rivers outing with a 1-5 record. In their last outing, Southampton smashed Sussex Central (Sussex, VA), 47-7, in a league outing.
The Chargers now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Buckingham for a James River outing on Tuesday, January 10. Lunenburg Central will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 46-44 league win over Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA). The Knights record now stands at 6-3.
