Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Conneaut Area Eagles (Linesville, PA), 52-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwestern upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Mercyhurst Prep (Erie, PA) to clash with the Lakers in a District 10 Region 3 bout on Monday, January 8. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Mercyhurst Prep won 67-14 in their recent league bout against Iroquois (Erie, PA)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Cochranton Cardinals (Cochranton, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Conneaut Area will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 56-45 league win over Saegertown (Saegertown, PA).
