Virginia High School Basketball - St. Stephen's & St. Agnes overwhelmed by Springdale Prep

The Springdale Prep Lions basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints to 39 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 20-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brookewood for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Springdale Prep will battle a team coming off a 38-30 non-league loss to KIPP College Prep (Washington, DC). The record now stands at 0-2.

The Saints (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (Bethesda, MD). The come into the Independent School contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart was routed by Episcopal (Alexandria, VA), 63-45, in a league contest.
