Illinois High School Basketball - Riverdale fells Mercer County

The Riverdale Rams basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Mercer County Golden Eagles to 31 in the Rams league triumph on Monday.

The Rams now have a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Orion for a Three Rivers - West game on Thursday, January 9. Riverdale will confront a Chargers team coming off a 65-35 non-league win over Galva (Galva, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Mercer County falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL) to confront the Tigers in a Three Rivers - West game on Thursday, January 9. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 12-2. Sherrard won 58-48 in their recent league game against Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL)
