North Carolina High School Basketball - Northampton County nips Southeast Halifax

January 7, 2025: Gaston, NC 27832

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) and the visiting Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC), observed Northampton County's basketball team edge Southeast Halifax by a score of 68-61.

The Jaguars (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC). The Warriors come into the 1A Tar Roanoke challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, North Edgecombe edged Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC), 62-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets (Roanoke Rapids, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Southeast Halifax will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 58-55 league loss to Rocky Mount (Rocky Mount, NC).
