Council Lumberjacks (Council, ID) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Salmon River Savages (Riggins, ID), 41-35 in a league match.
With the victory, Council upgrades its record to 7-4 on the year. The Lumberjacks travel to Tri-Valley (Cambridge, ID) to face the Titans in a 1A Long Pin match on Saturday, January 11. The Titans enter the match with a record of 1-7. Tri-Valley lost 52-43 in their recent league match against Greenleaf Friends Academy (Greenleaf, ID)
The Savages now sport a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Garden Valley for a 1A Long Pin match on Friday, January 10. Salmon River will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 59-52 non-league win over Victory Charter (Nampa, ID). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-4.
