In Monday's league outing, the Lackawanna Steelers (Lackawanna, NY) basketball squad nipped the visiting Pioneer Panthers (Yorkshire, NY), by a margin of 61-58.
The Steelers (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Lake Shore (Angola, NY). The Eagles go into the Section 6 Erie County III outing with a 4-5 record. In their last outing, Lake Shore was tipped by Depew (Depew, NY), 64-36, in a league outing.
The Panthers now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to East Aurora for a Section 6 Erie County III outing on Wednesday, January 11. Pioneer will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 49-41 league win over Cheektowaga (Cheektowaga, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-3.
