Texas High School Basketball - Wheatley topples Yates

In Monday's league outing, the Wheatley Wildcats (Houston, TX) basketball squad beat the host Yates Lions (Houston, TX), by a margin of 54-37.

The Wildcats (9-12) will now prepare for their outing against North Forest (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 4A Region III District 21 outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, North Forest defeated Sharpstown (Houston, TX), 46-17, in a non-league outing.

The Lions now own a 13-1 record. They play next when they host Worthing for a 4A Region III District 21 outing on Saturday, January 14. Yates will clash with a Colts squad coming off a 74-31 league win over Washington (Houston, TX). The Colts record now stands at 13-4.
