The Geffen Academy Bruins basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Vistamar Vikings to 24 in the Bruins league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bruins now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rolling Hills Prep for a Coastal contest on Friday, January 12. Geffen Academy will battle a Huskies team coming off a 63-42 non-league loss to Brentwood School (Los Angeles, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 8-9.

The Vikings (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against New Roads (Santa Monica, CA). The Jaguars enter the Coastal contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, New Roads ran past Laguna Blanca (Santa Barbara, CA), 42-27, in a non-league contest.
