In Thursday's league contest, the host Radford Bobcats basketball team scored a good 58-47 triumph over the Patrick County Cougars.
The Bobcats (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars go into the Three Rivers contest with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Alleghany prevailed over Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA), 51-45, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Monday, January 13. Patrick County will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 58-24 league win over James River (Buchanan, VA).
