Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Woodland Warriors (Streator, IL) and the visiting Leland Panthers (Leland, IL), observed Woodland's volleyball team top Leland by a count of 2-0.

The Warriors (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Seneca (Seneca, IL). The Fighting Irish enter the Tri-County contest with a 15-6 record. In their last contest, Seneca notched a victory over Marquette (Ottawa, IL), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Panthers battle the Earlville Red Raiders (Earlville, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 3. Leland will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Red Raiders go into the battle with a 11-10 record after their 2-0 league win over Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL).
