Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Newell-Fonda improves its record to 21-7 on the season.
The Golden Bears now own a 5-22 record. They put it on the line next when they host Algona for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 15. Bishop Garrigan will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-8.
