Alabama High School Football - Locust Fork can't hold off Weaver

Weaver Bearcats (Weaver, AL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Locust Fork Hornets (Locust Fork, AL), 36-34 in a league battle.
With the win, Weaver upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Piedmont (Piedmont, AL) to meet the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 6 test on Friday, October 17. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Piedmont won 51-0 in their recent league challenge against Pennington (Blountsville, AL)
The Hornets (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Wellborn (Anniston, AL). The Panthers go into the 3A Region 6 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Wellborn nipped Ohatchee (Ohatchee, AL), 40-22, in a league challenge.
