The Sundown Roughnecks walloped the visiting Smyer Bobcats football team by a score of 42-6 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Roughnecks play the Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX) in a 2A-2 Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Sundown will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Cowboys go into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 48-14 league loss to Seagraves (Seagraves, TX).

The Bobcats (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Eagles go into the 2A-2 Region I District 3 challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Ropes bounced Tahoka (Tahoka, TX), 35-34, in a league challenge.
