The Mariners (9-17) will now prepare for their challenge against American (Fremont, CA). The Eagles come into the Mission Valley challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, American edged Kennedy (Fremont, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Titans meet the Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) in a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza challenge, on Monday, October 14. Gunn will attempt to upgrade on its 5-19 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 25-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (San Francisco, CA).
