Virginia High School Football - Grayson County sneaks past Bluefield

The Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) football edged the visiting Bluefield Beavers (Bluefield, WV), 35-30 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Blue Devils face the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) in a Mountain Empire bout, on Friday, October 20. Grayson County will attempt to advance on its 7-0 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 2-5 record after their 41-7 league loss to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA).
The Beavers (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV). The Red Devils enter the Coalfield AAA bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Oak Hill nudged Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV), 27-7, in a non-league bout.
