The Clayton Yellowjackets football squad scored 40 points and limited the visiting Tatum Coyotes to 28 in the Yellowjackets league win on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Dulce for a non-league battle on Friday, October 20. Clayton will play a Hawks squad coming off a 52-6 non-league win over Non Varsity Opponent (, ). The Hawks record now stands at 4-4.

Coming up next, the Coyotes play the Logan Longhorns (Logan, NM) in a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) battle, on Friday, October 20. Tatum will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Longhorns go into the battle with a 6-3 record after their 54-0 league loss to Melrose (Melrose, NM).
