The Clinton Dark Horses held off the visiting St. Pauls Bulldogs football team by a count of 23-20 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Clinton upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Dark Horses travel to Midway (Dunn, NC) to encounter the Raiders in a 2A East Conference 7 outing on Friday, October 21. The Raiders go into the outing with a record of 5-3. Midway lost 51-22 in their recent league outing against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC)

With the loss, St. Pauls moves to 5-2 on the season. The Bulldogs host West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC) to encounter the Knights in a 2A East Conference 7 outing on Friday, October 21. The Knights go into the outing with a record of 2-6. West Bladen won 39-20 in their recent league outing against Red Springs (Red Springs, NC)
