Florida High School Football - Lake Weir nips Taylor

In Friday's league match, the visiting Lake Weir Hurricanes football squad scored a close 24-17 victory over the Taylor Wildcats.

In their next game, the Hurricanes clash with the Umatilla Bulldogs (Umatilla, FL) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 21. Lake Weir will attempt to move on its 1-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 3-4 record after their 30-22 league loss to Eustis (Eustis, FL).

The Wildcats (1-6) will now prepare for their match against Keystone Heights (Keystone Heights, FL). The Indians enter the non-league match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Keystone Heights was nudged by Palatka (Palatka, FL), 48-30, in a league match.
