In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Paramus Catholic Paladins volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Fair Lawn Cutters.

The Paladins (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Saddle River Day (Saddle River, NJ). The Rebels come into the non-league challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Saddle River Day was nudged by Park Ridge (Park Ridge, NJ), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cutters meet the Emerson Cavaliers (Emerson, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. Fair Lawn will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Hasbrouck Heights (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ).
