The Artesia Bulldogs soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Goddard Rockets to 1 in the Bulldogs league victory on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now have a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Pius X for a non-league contest on Saturday, October 18. Artesia will face a Sartans team coming off a 10-0 league win over Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 14-1.

The Rockets (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Wildcats enter the 4A District 4 challenge with a 10-9 record. In their last challenge, Lovington nudged Portales (Portales, NM), 10-0, in a league challenge.
