Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the host Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI), 5-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Cranston East advances its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts host Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI) to clash with the Scarlet Knights in a Division 3 test on Monday, October 21. The Scarlet Knights come into the test with a record of 8-4. Exeter-West Greenwich 1-1 in their recent league test against Providence Country Day (East Providence, RI)

The Panthers now have a 1-15 record. They take the field next when they host St. Raphael Academy for a Division 3 test on Tuesday, October 22. Johnston will clash with a Saints team coming off a 9-1 league win over Classical (Providence, RI). The Saints record now stands at 16-1.
