In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Palma Chieftains volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs.
The Chieftains (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Monterey (Monterey, CA). The Dores come into the Pacific Coast - Mission challenge with a 16-11 record. In their last challenge, Monterey beat Gonzales (Gonzales, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs play the Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA) in a Pacific Coast - Gabilan challenge, on Tuesday, October 22. Monte Vista Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 18-8 season record.
