In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host East Grand Rapids Pioneers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Kenowa Hills Knights.

The Pioneers (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Catholic Central (Grand Rapids, MI). The Cougars come into the challenge with a 3-2 record.

Next, the Knights meet the Hudsonville Eagles (Hudsonville, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 19. Kenowa Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 20-28 season record.
