Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the visiting East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC), observed Hickory's volleyball team top East Lincoln by a count of 2-0.

The Red Tornadoes (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars go into the non-league battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Alexander Central dropped by Watauga (Boone, NC), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Mustangs now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maiden for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 7. East Lincoln will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Bandys (Catawba, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-11.
