In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting San Jose Bulldogs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals.

With the win, San Jose improves its record to 6-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA) to face the Acorns in a test on Tuesday, October 7. The Acorns go into the test with a record of 1-4. Live Oak lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Del Mar (San Jose, CA)

The Cardinals now have a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Del Mar for a challenge on Tuesday, October 7. Mt. Pleasant will meet a Dons team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Branham (San Jose, CA). The Dons record now stands at 15-8.
