    • Texas High School Football - Marlin prevails Riesel

    October 23, 2025: Riesel, TX 76682

    In Thursday's league match, the visiting Marlin Bulldogs football squad scored a good 28-12 triumph over the Riesel Indians.

    The Bulldogs (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Rosebud-Lott (Rosebud, TX). The Cougars go into the 2A-1 Region IV District 13 match with a 7-1 record. In their last match, Rosebud-Lott defeated Bruceville-Eddy (Eddy, TX), 48-0, in a non-league match.

    In their next game, the Indians play the Moody Bearcats (Moody, TX) in a 2A-1 Region IV District 13 challenge, on Friday, October 31. Riesel will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Bearcats go into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 24-6 league loss to Crawford (Crawford, TX).
