Texas High School Football - Calallen tops Zapata

The Calallen Wildcats football squad scored 27 points and limited the host Zapata Hawks to 3 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Hidalgo Early College Pirates (Hidalgo, TX) in a 4A-1 Region IV District 16 challenge, on Friday, October 31. Calallen will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Pirates go into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 48-21 league loss to Zapata (Zapata, TX).
The Hawks (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley View (Pharr, TX). The Tigers go into the 4A-1 Region IV District 16 challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Valley View lost by Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX), 84-0, in a league challenge.
