Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA) and the host Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA), observed Venice's volleyball team top Arleta by a count of 2-0.

The Gondoliers (19-10) will now prepare for their battle against Sylmar (Sylmar, CA). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 17-12 record. In their last battle, Sylmar achieved victory over Poly (Sun Valley, CA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Mustangs now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marshall for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 25. Arleta will meet a Barristers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Taft (Woodland Hills, CA). The Barristers record now stands at 9-6.
